Leeds United fans on Twitter are getting worked up at the prospect of signing Brighton and Hove Albion centre-back Ben White after an eagle-eyed supporter spotted that he had followed the club on Instagram.

This comes less than a week after United supporters had the exact same reaction to Helder Costa following the club on the social media platform.

The young Seagulls defender has been previously named as one of the Whites’ priorities in this summer transfer window.

Leeds could do with a fresh face at centre-half after their injury problems in that position last term.

There has been no official word from either the player of the club that a deal is imminent, but fans have read into his Instagram activity as a sign that he is about to join the Yorkshire outfit.

Whether or not the Whites sign the 21-year-old remains to be seen, but that hasn’t stopped fans speculating that it is only a matter of time before he joins the club.
