Robinson is free agent Visiting FC Cincinnati Linked to PSV WHAT HAPPENED?
After ending the 2023 season with Atlanta United and being out of contract, Robinson is now a free agent. The Athletic reports that Robinson visited FC Cincinnati on Wednesday as a part of his free agency tour. Pat Noonan and co. appear to be looking to find a way to lure the central defender to their club, despite links to Europe with PSV among others.

If Robinson were to head to PSV, he'd be the fourth American player on the club's first-team roster alongside Pepi, Dest and Tillman. It would arguably be the best move possible for him in terms of the national team picture, but with the Dutch side playing so well at the moment, it would be difficult to see him immediately inserted into the XI. They're undefeated in the Eredivisie this season and are 10 points clear at the top of the table.
FC Cincinnati, meanwhile, offers him a chance to play alongside some of the best defenders in the league and USMNT teammate Matt Miazga. He'd be inserted into their back-three system, with the Orange and Blue looking to replicate their historic 2023 campaign in 2024. Both are seemingly good options, however, if Europe is still on Robinson's radar, nowhere seems like a better destination than the Dutch giants at the moment.
DID YOU KNOW?
Robinson has been capped by the USMNT 27 times, scoring three goals in the process. He missed the 2022 season and the FIFA World Cup finals through injury.
WHAT NEXT FOR ROBINSON
The 26-year-old will go about choosing his next landing spot during the MLS offseason, whether it's in Europe or staying in MLS with an elite franchise like Cincy. The USMNT doesn't return to the pitch until the new year, so Robinson will likely be able to seek the advice of boss Gregg Berhalter along the way.
