Leeds fans have been discussing their potential summer transfer business, and despite links to an international legend they’d much prefer to sign a proven Championship goalscorer.

Leeds fans were stunned last week when Fernando Torres became the latest player to be linked with a move to Elland Road.

The links seemingly surfaced due to Marcelo Bielsa’s infatuation with Torres, as the new Leeds boss was absolutely desperate to sign him for Lille last summer.

The 34 year-old has won a quite simply ridiculous amount of trophies for club and country, and would certainly be an exciting signing.

However, fans have been crying out for a proven Championship goalscorer for quite some time, and the availability of Matej Vydra is definitely worth a look.

The 26 year-old grabbed 21 league goals last season for Derby County, and could be the perfect man to spearhead Bielsa’s 3-3-3-1 formation.

Vydra has been linked with a move to Leeds, and it would definitely ease a few minds at Elland Road knowing they finally have a man capable of bagging 20 league goals.

Fans clearly agree, as nearly two thirds voted for the Czech international over the Spain legend.
