Liverpool are reportedly set to sell Rafael Camacho this summer, reports James Pearce of The Liverpool Echo.
What’s the story?
According to Pearce’s report, Camacho will definitely leave the club, if not this summer then next.
The teenager has one year left on his contract, and has informed the club he will not pen a new deal, meaning he will leave for free next summer if a sale is not secured this time around.
Sporting director Michael Edwards is looking for at least £10m for Camacho, a fee that would mark yet another act of genius from the Reds transfer guru.
Edwards is at it again
Edwards has forged a reputation for his transfer work at Liverpool, signing players like Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Andy Robertson all for relatively low fees.
He has also impressed the Anfield faithful with his player sales though, raking in £16.2m for Jordon Ibe, £19m for Dominic Solanke and a potential £20m for Danny Ings, just to name a few.
The sporting director might be about to pull off his greatest trick yet though, as he looks to secure an eight-figure sum for a player who has just two senior appearances in his entire career, one of which was a one-minute cameo off the bench.

Camacho is speedy, versatile and has a high ceiling, but that is simply ridiculous money for a 19 year-old with 91 minutes of professional football under his belt.
The Reds want to build a deep squad capable of competing on multiple fronts, and Edwards deserves huge plaudits if he banks an extra £10m for Jurgen Klopp’s transfer kitty off a player who clearly has no future at the club.
