Manchester City are ready to better the Premier League transfer record in order to sign Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish, as reported by The Mirror.
Enjoying a fantastic 2020/21 season, the 25-year-old notched an impressive 19 goal contributions from 27 games for the Villans, with seven goals and 12 assists [Transfermarkt]. Earning adulation for his outstanding exploits, he was nominated for the Premier League Player of the Season award at the beginning of this month [avfc.co.uk].
However, he now looks set to court serious attention from the Citizens as they look to bolster their ranks ahead of their defence of the Premier League title.
