Gimenez joined Milan in January from Feyenoord for €32 million (£27m/$35m) plus €3m in bonuses. Despite netting six goals and providing three assists in 19 appearances in the second half of the season, questions over his future surfaced amid Milan's plans to sign a new striker this summer. However, the 24-year-old remains focused on making an impact in Serie A after helping Mexico win the Gold Cup at NRG Stadium.
WHAT GIMENEZ SAID
Gimenez told the reporters: "I feel at home at Milan, I'm living a dream, I'm grateful for the opportunity to be in a team like Milan. There have been rumours of a possible farewell but I'm fine. I spoke with the management and the staff, the idea is to stay. I'll try to give my best, I don't want to waste this opportunity."

Milan resume pre-season training this week, with Massimiliano Allegri expected to evaluate the squad ahead of potential signings. While the club remain interested in reinforcing the forward line, Gimenez’s commitment gives Milan flexibility as they assess striker targets, as they have been recently in touch with Juventus' Dusan Vlahovic and Bayer Leverkusen's Victor Boniface.
