Aston Villa picked up their second Championship win in the space of a week as they beat Nottingham Forest 2-1 at Villa Park on Saturday, but Villa fans weren’t impressed with Robert Snodgrass’ performance.
The 30-year-old loannee started on the right-hand side of midfield for the visit of Forest but despite Albert Adomah’s opener for the hosts after 15 minutes, Daryl Murphy equalised seven minutes into the second period.
However, Conor Hourihane’s brilliant free-kick on the hour-mark did ensure that Steve Bruce’s men took all three points, but Snodgrass struggled to make an impact throughout before being replaced by Alan Hutton in the 88th minute.
The Scottish winger appears to be lacking match fitness while he lost the ball on a number of occasions when trying to beat the Forest defenders.
Aston Villa supporters were quick to have their say on his showing via social media, and while some simply said he is “completely out of form”, others said he was “shocking”.
